Registration is now open for our 2019 Spring Mid-Season Awards Night and Parity Doubles Tournament to be held on Monday, 3/11, at MacLeod’s. For those who have not played in this event before, this is a night not to be missed! This is a FREE tournament to all SCDA members from our 2018 Summer Season through the current 2019 Spring Season (including our Singles League!).
A complimentary 1st beer will be provided while we pass out awards for the 2018 Fall Season, followed by a Doubles Tournament with cash prizes of $100 for 1st, $60 for 2nd, and $40 for 3rd. Players are placed in one of 8 groups based on Dart Connect averages, from highest to lowest, then teams are formed by blindly drawing names from corresponding groups (1&8, 2&7, 3&6, etc.) to form balanced teams. This is a Double-Elimination event with the first round consisting of best 2-out-of-3 Chicago and a losers bracket leg of SIDO 701.
To register and see additional info, please click on the Register button above or click HERE.
The tournament will be capped at 32 doubles teams, which means only the first 64 who register will be eligible. Any remaining interested players can add their names to the first-come first-served wait list once check-in opens at 5:30 PM on the night of the event.
All players must check-in on the night of the event no later than 6:45 PM to secure their spot. Any player who does not check-in by 6:45 PM risks losing their spot to someone on the wait list.
This event sells out every year, so please be sure to Register right away.
Congratulations to all our Week 3 All Stars! In Week 2 we had no Ton80s and this past week we had no R9s! Congrats to Tom Rowland of Moneyshot, and Alan Wawryk of Local Losers, both in C Div, and to Matt Smooke of Shanghai Knights in A Div for all hitting Ton80s. Keep ’em coming, everyone!
We’d also like to give a big congratulations to Matt Smooke for being named MVP of the 2019 Scots Festival on the Queen Mary! Matt took top 16 in the Draw Doubles, losing to the eventual champions, top 4 in Draw Mixed-Triples, again losing to the eventual champions, and capped the tournament off with 2nd in Singles 501 and 1st in Singles Cricket! Well done, Matt! Your SCDA family is so proud of you!
Have fun tonight, everyone, and Shoot Well!
